Southwest Florida has both subterranean termites, which come from the soil, and drywood termites, which live inside the wood they eat. Treatment that works for one may not fit the other, so every termite program starts with an inspection by a technician working under the company's termite category.
Who it's for
- Homeowners who've seen swarmers, mud tubes, pellets or damaged wood
- Owners who want ongoing protection or monitoring
- Buyers and sellers who need a WDO inspection first
- Condo associations and property managers (where the licensee serves them)
What's included
Inspection
Accessible areas inside and out, looking for evidence, conditions that attract termites and the likely species.
Diagnosis
Subterranean, drywood or another wood-destroying organism, and how widespread the activity appears.
Treatment options
Options suited to the species and the structure, such as soil treatment, bait or monitoring systems, or localized wood treatment, where the company offers them.
Documentation
What was treated, where and with what, plus any monitoring schedule and the written warranty or renewal terms.
How it works
We explain the options and the trade-offs, then you get a written proposal. Large drywood infestations may need structural fumigation, which is a separate licensed service. See what to confirm before fumigation.
Not included, or referred
- A guarantee that a structure is or will stay termite-free. No honest company can promise that.
- Fumigation unless the local company holds that category, or it's referred
- Wood repair and replacement (Uniform Handyman or a licensed contractor)
- Moisture sources like plumbing leaks (Uniform Plumbing)
What affects the quote
You get a written recommendation and quote after an inspection. These are the things that move the number:
- Termite species and extent of activity
- Home size, construction and slab type
- Treatment method
- Monitoring or renewal terms
- Access to attics, walls and the perimeter
More detail is in our Naples pest control cost guide.
Safety and instructions
Preparation, re-entry and pet or child precautions depend on the product label and the treatment plan for your home, so your technician gives them to you in writing for that treatment. We don't publish one-size-fits-all wait times. See treatment safety questions.
Why homeowners choose Uniform
Every technician who comes into your home has passed a guaranteed background check. You get a written treatment scope before work starts, a service record of what was found and applied, and the Uniform quality guarantee on the work in your agreement.

Frequently asked questions
Can you guarantee my house will be termite-free?
No. We document what was found and treated, and the warranty or renewal terms are written into your agreement.
What's the difference between drywood and subterranean termites?
Subterranean termites live in soil and build mud tubes; drywood termites live inside wood and push out pellets. See termite signs and types.
Is your company licensed for termites?
Termite and WDO work is a separate FDACS category. We offer it only where the local company's license includes it; you can confirm with the FDACS license lookup.
