What a good plan puts in writing
- Which pests are covered by name
- What's excluded (often termites, bed bugs, wildlife and lawn pests)
- What each visit includes: inspection, exterior, interior if needed, and a service record
- Re-service terms if covered pests return between visits
- How you'll get treatment-specific instructions for your household
- How to cancel or change the plan
Questions to ask
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Is interior treatment included or on request? | Many plans focus on the exterior; you should know what to expect. |
| Do you need access inside each visit? | It affects scheduling, especially for seasonal owners. |
| What happens if I see pests between visits? | Re-service terms vary a lot between companies. |
| Is the company licensed for every pest in the plan? | Lawn pests and termites are separate FDACS categories. |
| Will I get a record of each visit? | It's your proof of what was done and applied. |
Your part
Plans work better when moisture, food and entry points are addressed. Keep mulch and plants a little away from the foundation, fix leaks, and store food and pet food sealed. Your technician will flag specific fixes in the service record.
