Wasps and hornets can usually be treated or removed. Honey bee colonies are different: they're valuable pollinators and are often relocated by a beekeeper rather than destroyed. We confirm the species and the legal handling before any treatment.
Who it's for
- Wasp nests near doors, lanais and play areas
- Ground-nesting yellowjackets in the lawn or beds
- Bees going in and out of a wall, soffit or meter box
- Owners with allergies in the household
What's included
Assessment
Species, nest location and the risk to people and pets.
Treatment or removal
Done by a qualified technician with protective equipment, following the label.
Referral
Honey bee colonies referred to a beekeeper or bee removal specialist where appropriate.
Prevention
Advice on sealing voids and reducing nesting sites.
How it works
Keep people and pets away from the nest until the technician arrives. Don't seal an active nest opening yourself, because insects may find another way into the home.
Not included, or referred
- Emergency medical help: call 911 for severe reactions
- Structural repairs after a colony is removed (Uniform Handyman)
- Honey bee colony removal unless a qualified bee specialist does it
What affects the quote
You get a written recommendation and quote after an inspection. These are the things that move the number:
- Species and nest size
- Nest height and access
- Whether removal or repair is needed
- Number of nests
More detail is in our Naples pest control cost guide.
Safety and instructions
Preparation, re-entry and pet or child precautions depend on the product label and the treatment plan for your home, so your technician gives them to you in writing for that treatment. We don't publish one-size-fits-all wait times. See treatment safety questions.
Why homeowners choose Uniform
Every technician who comes into your home has passed a guaranteed background check. You get a written treatment scope before work starts, a service record of what was found and applied, and the Uniform quality guarantee on the work in your agreement.

Frequently asked questions
Will you kill honey bees?
We prefer relocation by a beekeeper or bee specialist when that's possible and safe.
Can I knock the nest down myself?
We don't recommend it. Stings are a real risk, especially for anyone allergic.
What if someone is stung and reacts badly?
Call 911 first. Pest control comes after medical care.
